Description

German Worship Service – June 14th

On Sunday, June 14th, St. Lorenz’s monthly German worship service will be held at 11:00 am in the Church - 1030 W. Tuscola Rd, Frankenmuth. Our sermon series "Open Arms" will explore God's "absolution" as His response to our "confession" of sin(s). His refreshing response beautifully equips and empowers each of us for a wonderfully productive life. The service features German liturgy and an English sermon by Pastor Bill Hoesman, entitled “Gone!" based on Acts 3:19. The scripture lessons will be read by German teacher Bärbel Stürmer and several of her 5th-8th grade German language students. A solo “Lobe den Herren, den mächtigen König der Ehren!” (Praise To The Lord The Almighty) will be sung by Jordan Maurer and the congregation will join in singing favorite hymns: “Jesus nimmt die Sünder an” (Jesus Sinners Doth Receive), “Ach Gott und Herr, wie groß und schwer” (Alas My God, My Sins Are Great), “Laß mich dein sein und bleiben” (Let Me Be Thine Forever), and “Jesus, Jesus, nichts als Jesus” (Jesus, Jesus, Only Jesus).

The service will be broadcast locally on Spectrum/Charter cable channel 191. It can also be viewed via the St. Lorenz website (Watch – Sanctuary Stream), the St. Lorenz app, and the Frankenmuth-Gunzenhausen Facebook page.

The next German worship service will be held on July 12, 2026. May we, as believers, be called to genuine repentance and turn to God so that our sins may be forgiven and spiritual renewal will occur.
